Membership Benefits (What you get)

Membership has its benefits. We're a fun group of people to cruise with and share boating experiences.

Organized Cruises

We're all busy and our members love the value they get from someone else planning and organizing the cruise schedule and activities. Volunteer to help if you want, or just register, pay and attend.

Clubhouse

The EYC Clubhouse has historically been a vital hub for club events and our community. The facility is where we gather to socialize and conduct business for the club. The EYC clubhouse is not open to the public and only members are able to rent the facility for private events. Visit our clubhouse webpage for details.

Women's Interclub Council (WIC)

WIC is a program of the Puget Sound Grand 14 that provides opportunities for intentional interaction with members of other Grand 14 yacht clubs. EYC members can attend WIC lunches and community activities.  Click here for details.

Women on the Water (WOW)

WOW is a group of members who arrange and host events for women who love boating and want to learn more from the experiences of others. Click here to learn more.

Monthly Newsletter

The Scuttlebutt is our monthly digital (PDF) newsletter designed to keep members informed of Club news, activities, topics of interest & special events.  Click here to view the latest issue. Members have access to archive files of previous newsletters.

Partner Discounts

Members can take advantage of discounts through local boating suppliers and several boat-related services offered by selected business partners within our community. Visit our Partners page for details about member benefits from Fisheries Supply, Harbor Marine, West Marine, and more.

Reciprocal Privileges

Members can enjoy access to mooring and selected facilities at other yacht clubs around Puget Sound, British Columbia and many other places around the world. Click here to see the current list of reciprocal clubs and marinas.  Click here to see the current list of reciprocal clubs and marinas.

Support

Our members love to share their boating experiences and their expertise with other members. Need help diagnosing a boat problem? You’re guaranteed at least one of our members knows how to fix it. We've also been known to invite recreational boating experts to speak at EYC events on topics that enrich our boating experience.

“We joined EYC for the cruises and stay for the friendships.

Joining (How to become a member)

Our Joining Process is pretty straight forward. Click here for details about the process and any joining incentives. No worries if you are not acquainted with any of our current members, we'll pair you with a new-member host to guide you through the joining process, answer your questions and introduce you to our members. The basic steps are:

  1. Complete the signup. This prompts a Membership Committee member to contact you to get acquainted and answer questions.
  2. Pay the Initiation Fee and prorated Annual Dues. See the fee schedule below.
  3. Attend a monthly dinner, social event or cruise as our guest. You'll get to meet some of our members and get to see if we're a good fit for you.
  4. Highlights of your application will be read as an introduction to our members. Your application is read out loud by a membership committee member to members at two club-sanctioned events (business meeting, cruise, etc.).
  5. Enjoy your Induction Ceremony at the next sanctioned event. As part of our rich tradition of yachting, we will welcome you to the club in a public declaration.

Please Contact Us with your questions about membership or the joining process.
